Dearest Timbuk2, I love my Timbuk2 bags. I first learned about your company from my high school chemistry teacher. He was a total babe. Colorado-born and raised, he was rugged and delicious. His "babeness" was accentuated by the permanent accesory slung over his shoulder, a red, yellow, and green Timbuk2 messenger bag . I equated the bright yellow swirl on the rightmost panel of his bag with intelligence and style. Timbuk2, you have never let me down. Unlike a typical bag that requires carrying, your bags have managed to carry me. My first bag, a commuter messenger, made it through 4 years of class, research papers, beach trips, sorority recruitment weeks, and spring breaks. I even met my first (and closest) college friend through a conversation started about my sweet Timbuk2 bag. When my friends asked me what I wanted as a college graduation gift, it was a no-brainer - duh, Timbuk2 bag! I was headed for a Master's degree and had my eye on another Timbuk2 bag. My red Marina came in and I was ecstatic. It was just the bag I had in mind- big enough, cool enough, and professional enough. As I head off to a doctoral program, I'm again in need of a Timbuk2 fix to carry me through at least 5 more years of schooling. Who am I kidding?
