digital media
- Refers to any type of information in digital format including computer-generated text, graphics and animations, as well as photographs, animation, sound and video.
- Digital media (as opposed to analog media) are usually electronic media that work on digital codes. Today, computing is primarily based on the binary numeral system. In this case digital refers to the discrete states of "0" and "1" for representing arbitrary data.
- Any system based on discontinuous data or events. Computers are digital machines because at their most basic level they can distinguish between just two values, 0 and 1, or off and on. There is no simple to represent all the values in between, such as 0.25.

There were fewer people milling around this bit. Why? Perhaps because the poeple who came were more interested in printed media. Perhaps because the implicit invitation to view or to interact is ambigious. Perfaps because it was in a seperate room. Perhaps because there was a slightly monastic feel to the space - like a shrine to Macs.
