Our laboratory studies the biological mechanisms that regulate cancer cell invasion and metastasis. Our focus is on the tumor suppressor LKB1, which is shown to be a master regulator of cell motility and polarity.

We want to use this knowledge to:

• Understand how cancer cells invade and metastasize
• Discover diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for cancer cell invasion 
• Design therapeutics that can target these mechanisms
