After graduating from Sheridan College in 2007, I was asked to stick with my internship position at Moorshead Magazines as a
contract editorial assistant. I was responsible for writing articles pertaining to genealogy and history, as well as providing layout for article submitted by freelance writers.
After leaving Moorshead, I was hired as a staff writer for Mechanical Business, Canada's newest mechanical trade magazine. Working alongside veterans in trade publishing, I learned about a whole new world of journalism while writing articles ranging from refrigerant management to the latest innovations in water heater technology. You can find my latest editorial work in the Nov/Dec 2009 issue of Mechanical Business. Interests... I enjoy camping and hiking during the summer months with camera in hand, and curling up with a good book in winter. I'm something of a geek, reading fantasy authors such as Mercedes
Lackey and Anne McCaffrey, although I'll read just about anything that
comes into my hand. I've always been a computer savvy person and
proudly claim myself a Mac user.
