She's here!!! 

What a day - a wonderful, wonderful day!  At 1:34 in the afternoon on August 8th Riley Anne became a living, breathing, screaming, beautiful part of our lives.  Mom and baby did fantastic throughout the delivery (a C section), everything happens so fast once they get into the operating room.  There will be more details and updates as we get to spend more time with her, but here are some of the highlights...

• Vitals (it's hard to read at the top of the page)
• Riley was born at 1:34 PM on August 8th
• She weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz.
• She was 19 & 3/4" long
• She has dark hair and blue eyes
• Riley screamed during her first bath and did well in the nursery except for some grunting (breathing with more effort than the nurses would like to see) 
• Beth has already had a first go at breast feeding and Riley impressed the nurse with her alertness and efforts
• We are uploading pictures to Flickr on a limited basis (as much as the free wifi in the hospital will allow)
• Riley had some special visitors today:  Cynthia, Brandi, and Heather all came by to see the sweetness :)
