Data Gathering/ Problem Solving Unit | Dear Parents,
I am so happy to be student teaching with Mrs. Morrow and your first graders. This is such a wonderful class and school to be working with. I will start my student teaching experience once we get back from winter break. I am looking forward to get to know you as the school year progress. I wanted to give you a little background information on me. I am a graduate student at Seattle University in their Masters in Teaching program. I have been working with children since I was thirteen years old. This includes nannying, tutoring, working as a paraeducator and as a dance coach. I have a strong commitment and passion for children and their education. I was born in Auburn, WA and still currently live there. I feel that consistent communication between parents and teachers increase student success in school. I think it is so important for the teacher and parents to be on the same page and to be advocates for the children and their education. I am so happy to have met most of you already and know that this is going to be a great year for you, me and your students. Please feel free to contact me at anytime with questions or comments.
Sincerely,
Alyssa Gifford Student Teacher
