Sept 21, 2011 Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaannn.. Why is it that my kids toys are like 10 BAZILLION times better than mine were? I mean granted, we had action figures w/ lead based paint, metal pointy edges that would lop off a whole finger, and played in asbestos lined rooms, but COME ON!!! Look at some of these awesome toys kids have to choose from today.. I admit it.. I play w/ my kids toys.. Heck I even have my own "collection".. I was so happy to find out we were having boys.. First thing I did was buy basketball clothes and a fisher price hoop.. It's been down hill since (shaking head).. You name a toy, we've got it.. Doesn't help that I'm the BIGGEST KID THERE IS, and I mean that metaphorically and literally.. You should see me taking longer than them to pick out a toy, and will fight one of them if we want the same thing.. hahahahahahahaha.. No.. but really.. It's happened.. On a serious note, how many of us are in-tuned with our inner child still? How many of us still know how to have fun? I don't mean "adult" fun where you go to a bar and get wasted (I've never understood that in the first place) but good ol' kid fun where you used your imagination and laugh so hard till you almost peed on yourself? I love watching my kids play, and love playing with them too.. They DEFINITELY keep me young. Remember when life was so simple? It all started w/ the TOYS!!!!
