Analytical Technology From their European headquarters in the UK, Analytical Technology sell, commission, service and provide technical support for both gas sensor and water quality monitoring instruments. The US headquarters had held an ISO9001 certificate with a slightly wider scope for some time and in 2009 a determined journey began to add the European business to a single company certificate as an ‘extension to scope’. Working for their chosen UKAS certification body, I was one of two Assessors that undertook a Stage 1 Assessment in early 2010 and subsequently the customer engaged me as their Consultant (clearly, I was then no longer in a position to audit this same customer). The European headquarters successfully achieved their ISO9001 certification 2 months later and was subsequently added to the scope of the single certificate. ‘Analytical Technology can’t thank Alun Wallace enough for helping us secure our ISO9001 certification in March 2010. To go from abandonment of Stage 1 Assessment to achieving certification in 60 days was a tremendous achievement in which Alun played a major part. Principality Property Solutions
Principality Property Solutions (PPS), part of the Principality Building Society Group of companies operate out of the headquarters in Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff. Established in early 2009, their key aim is to offer a complete property maintenance solution to their customer base which includes their parent company, Peter Alan Estate Agents and a number of private individuals. Having achieved backing to expand an already successful business and being well aware of the importance of quality management, Phil Holmes, Head of PPS engaged with myself to help him on his journey to achieving ISO9001. Formally engaging in July 2010, I had the remit to fully support and guide PPS through a successful ISO9001 certification process.
‘Alun engaged with my team direct and quickly provided an accurate, achievable plan outlining what action was required, by when and importantly by whom. He gave us all the reassurance that our high-level plans to achieve certification relatively early in our journey were realistic. I continue to provide quality management support and further plans with this customer now include widening the scope of their ISO9001 management system to include Principality Surveyors administration and achieving BS OHSAS 18001 certification.
