Highlights of the academic year 2007/2008
The academic year 2007/2008 started with almost 200 freshmen from 31 different countries of the world, and these people have been chosen from 561 applicants.
The leadership of the Medical School at present are Professor Péter Németh, Professor Valér Csernus, Professor Attila Miseta and Professor József Nyárády.

- the 3rd annual charity event: Cocktails for a Cause - organized by Zohaar and Michael, a fundraiser aimed to raise money for the less privileged children in and around Pecs. Some proceeds go to Kolping, an organization that provides children and families with day care centres, clothes, holiday events and more and the rest goes to the Paediatric Clinic
- the 1st (yet annual) Xmas tea party - organized by the Student Service and the Registrar's Office ladies for those international students who could not go home for the winter holidays. These ladies were baking for 2 weeks and are happy to do it every year!
And the start of the 2nd semester:
- International Evening 2008 - this year 33 countries were represented, we had a chance to taste the traditional food of 26 nations, invited ambassadors/consuls/honorary consuls of each country, after the performances of the countries an Iranian, a Hungarian and an English Program band (Revelstone) entertained us till dawn
