First of all let me thank you for updating us with your new contacts, contact of your friends and information on your professional and private lives. We have contact to at least one person from each year and that is a big step forward.

As the first newsletter is delayed I thought it may be a good idea to show you how the English Program changed in the past couple of years.

The predecessor of the University of Pécs Medical School was the Medical University of Pécs (POTE) which, from 1 February 1951 to 31 December 1999 has operated as a separate, independent institution.

The English Program was launched in 1984 having English as the language of instruction. The first class graduated in 1990.

Until July 2007, 507 students received their M.D. diplomas from the English Program.

Unfortunately administration was not the best in the early '90 therefore we hardly have any contact with our first graduates. Thus, the aim of this temporary page is to gather as much information as we possibly can before we launch the official POTE Alumni website. We would like to know what have you become, how well your professional and personal lives are shaping, and so on.

We would also need your opinion on how to develop our site, what kind of services (e.g newsletters, organizing reunions etc.) would interest you.
