C-U Altrusans are celebrating our 62th year of continuous service to our community.

        What is Altrusa?

         Altrusa is an international, volunteer, service organization of business and professional leaders, classified by occupation, dedicated to improving their communities by personal service.

         "Altrusa" is coined from "Altr" in altruism, meaning "devotion to others" and from "USA" for the United States of America.

         The members of Altrusa unite their varied talents in service to others, achieving as a group what individuals cannot do alone.  Altrusa members have donated more than a million service hours last year.
