'Carpet Slippers' was the last show at which photographs
were taken, only programme details are available for the last three productions.

'My Wife's Family' brought to an end the nine year run of productions by The Players. No doubt there was
some disappointment but key people had been leaving for various reasons and others were no doubt pleased for a
break from the work involved. Certainly from my own point of view their pantomimes would be sadly
missed. With no television and little in the way of alternative live entertainment locally
they were a real highlight in the year for me.

Please note: Guidance on activating and viewing the slide shows is provided on
our web page 'Read this first'.

Captions throughout all slide shows give the names of village people as they
were then, not the characters they played.

Shows: 18 Happy Days, 19 Jack and the Beanstalk, 20 My Wife's Family. Programmes only.

We would especially like to thank Barry Davies for permission to use his father Trevor's stage photographs. Due to the age and condition of the photographs their quality is somewhat variable however we feel fortunate indeed to be able to look back at what was a very happy time in the village.
