Alpha is a class of couples and singles who are mostly empty-nesters. We have presentations by guest speakers on a variety of topics that include contemporary issues, biblical understanding, and family concerns. Regular class socials, supportive fellowship, and community outreach are emphasized.

ALPHA PROGRAMS

January 15 – February 26

Come join us this winter as we focus our study on the 24 hours immediately preceding Christ’s sacrifice for us leading to his resurrection.  Our first study will be Adam Hamilton’s 24 Hours that Changed the World video series with sessions ranging from the last supper, Gethsemane, to the crucifixion as Christ the Victor.

“No single event in human history has received more attention than the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth. In this book and video, Adam Hamilton guides us through the last twenty-four hours of Jesus' life. Each chapter is designed to help the reader experience and understand the significance of Jesus' suffering and death in a way you have never done before. Whether readers are long-time Christians or simply curious about the story of Christ's crucifixion, they are invited to join the author in retracing the last 24 hours of Jesus' life.”

March 4 – April 22

Immediately following 24 Hours, we will embark in a new Adam Hamilton video series that will carry us into Easter with Final Words at the Cross.    Jesus made several statements while on the cross and each will be explored.

“In 24 Hours That Changed the World, Adam Hamilton took us on a Lenten journey through the last day of Jesus' life. Now, in his inspiring follow-up book, Hamilton examines Christ’s dying hours and his final words as seen and heard through the eyes and ears of those who stood near the cross.  Moving through each chapter you will begin to understand and respond to Jesus’ final words at the cross while learning about those who were eye witnesses to the crucifixion. In the final chapter, Hamilton moves beyond the cross to Jesus' words to the disciples on the road to Emmaus and to those who were witnesses to the Resurrection.”
