Event Planning Committee Contact: events@twincities.alpfa.org Focus: To provide Membership Networking, Professional Education, and Job Opportunities
Things to do: Plan Events according to our mission Develop, update and maintain the calendar of events Create and maintain the comprehensive contact list Develop partnership with organizations around the area (ALPFA partner organizations, corporate sponsors, student chapters, other associations ALPFA is associated with) Work with sponsors to define job opportunities Develop ways to notify members of the opportunities Update job postings Develop a way to track how many ALPFA members are given job opportunities as a result of their affiliation with ALPFA Focus: To provide student members scholarship opportunities, mentoring, and internship/job opportunities through a variety of events and programs. Things to do: Current FY Focus Develop and update student membership list Develop relationships with faculty and advisors at target schools Provide administration, communication, and opportunities for students Work with Event Planning Committee on Networking opportunities for students Future Update scholarship and internship info. on the chapter website Establish Student Mentor Program Encourage the formation of ALPFA student chapters
Fundraising & Partnership Development Committee Contact: partnerrelations@twincities.alpfa.org Focus: To raise funds and achieve positive cashflows from a diverse sponsorship pool that will provide surplus of funds to be able to run the ALPFA Seattle chapter successfully.
Things to do: Create, monitor and update sponsorship contact list Develop fundraising strategy Identify potential sponsors/partnership Create and maintain strong relationships w/ our sponsors (invitations, recognition, thank yous, testimonials) Create a solid sales pitch and offering
Public Relations/ Communication Committee Contact: communications@twincities.alpfa.org Focus: To develop and nurture relationships with all of the major local print, television, radio and Web based media outlets. Our partnership should allow us to do quarterly news releases at low or no costs. Not only Latino outlets.
Things to do:
Develop and maintain media contact list. Media coverage for events, scholarship recipients. Recruit experienced professionals & students to participate in the committee. Help identify bilingual writers and proofreaders to develop press releases in English and Spanish. |
