comparison and superseding the well known Trangia alcohol stove with a all Titanium equivalent Evernew stove. Now the biggest stove in the picture is a Swedish Military Trangia stove, middle one is the classic well known Trangia stove, both made out of heavy brass tin... the little grey stove is a Titanium stove made by Evernew in Japan. All three stoves will fit and work very well together with my DIY SnowPeak Titan-Hobo-stove, so every one of this are suitable for lightweight Outdoor and Bushcraft cooking... anyway... material and weight makes all the differences... first the material, brass tin vs. Titanium tin... yeah not quite a equal match who's winning there, 1st winner is the titanium stove, regarding it's low weight, fast cooling down ability and non corrosion ! Comparing the size and weight... well no question there, winner no.1 again is the titanium stove too. Weight comparison: Evernew titanium stove = 35g Trangia classic stove = 69g + screw lid 21g + cap 23g = 115g Trangia Military stove = 120g + screw lid 34g = 154g well what more can I say... now I like the screw lid option of the Trangia, but in the end the Evernew titanium stove to me is the best addition to my DIY Hob-stove.
