As it turned out, the hotel was only a block from the Alamo in downtown San Antonio. Oahu August - September 2009 Michael and I went to Hawaii in August and for the first time in many years stayed at the house on Kawaikui. We visited many of our favorite places including Kuhio Beach and Waimea Bay. Both Celina and Sean spent time with us while we were there. We also had a chance to spend some time with the "Hawaiian" relatives. North Carolina April 2009 Mom, John, April, Celina and I went to North Carolina in April. We started the trip by visiting Joe in Pittsboro. From there, we went to Asheville to visit Mom's sister Thelma. We ended the trip by driving through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (which I love) into Gatlinburg and then back to Michigan. |
