Creating the Edible Earth Make an indentation in the middle of the rice krispie/marshmallow mixture, and then place the cherry and marshmallow in it. The next step is moding it into an earth-shape. The idea was from a link that was on the Children's Encyclopedia (part of the Sonlight curriculum I'm using with the girls). The cherry is the inner core; large marshmallow is the outer core; rice krispie bar is the mantle; and the peanut butter/crushed Oreo cookies is the crust. The girls noticed that the cookies had "boulders" and "large rocks" in it - since the blades grinding the cookies didn't chop everything in a perfectly-uniform manner. Grinding Oreos for Edible Earth
