This collection of resources is to assist with creating personal websites. The links provided, at the time I viewed them, have free graphics, or other options, for personal/non business sites. Please review the terms of service before using; links to the site in change for the free items is often the requirement. Remember always be careful when downloading. Do not link to graphics on someone else's server. This is not only rude, it can mess their website.

How to Self Promote On-line

Free Website Providers
Google: If you already have a gmail account, a website like Allusions and Dreams is quick, easy and free. Click insert and Documents to create spreadsheets and forms to add to your website.
Webs.com: This site is free. It has terms of service that give me serious pause about posting copyrighted material. (Please read the Terms of Service.) If that does not bother you, the site offers a number of wonderful options. Guestbook, forums you can edit, blog, wiki, and variety of other options that require little to no web design knowledge to use.

Graphics
clipartheaven.com: This site has a lot of silly graphics. Please note it does have a download maximum in the terms of service. Please view it. If you exceed the maximum, your IP address (your computer) will be blocked.
freedigitalphotos.net: I just briefly glanced at the nature photos and the terms of service. The nature photos were good. The terms of service were reasonable.
Touch a Memory: This site offers beautiful graphics sets for backgrounds.

Blogs
Livejournal: This is a long established blog site. I remember it as being user-friendly, although its been awhile.

Miscellaneous
Cool Text: Free site for making logos and buttons. Looks promising.
Website Hit Counters: As shown on the first page of my website, these counters are wonderful for keeping track of site traffic.
