| Cabo San Lucas boast beautiful soft sand beaches, great shopping and places to dine. Take a motor boat tour and sea seals and dolphins up close and personal. Sail under Los Arcos. And by all means have your camera ready at every turn. No problem with the language in this Mexican Port. Many Americans from the Western United States loved their visit to Cabo so much that when they retired they moved there and many are happy to share their stories with you.
Acapulco is the port city that Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor enjoyed their romantic getaway home. There are beautiful resorts and beached. Shopping dining, beaches are everywhere. Take a tour and discover Aztec Culture. And don't forget to see the Cliff Divers. There is a lit up special night show with dinner, and is a must see if you have never been to Acapulco.
In Panama you will feel like you are moving within a time travel machine. Start by taking a journey into the lives of 600 year old native tribes and villages. Then continue your discovery through the narrow streets of colonial Panama. Then cross the Bridge of the Americas. Travel along the Pan American Highway. This is a destination that abounds with history and culture. The Panama Canal is considered by many to be the eighth wonder of the world. It is an amazing experience making the transit through the locks. This is unlike any other cruise destination.
Cartagena can be summed up with one word. History and the many spectacular 16th century buildings and fortifications found throughout the city. Some of the most famous sites include the La Popa Monastery. Enjoy the panoramic view of the harbor and city from the terrace surrounding this lovely old building. The Fort of San Felipe de Barajas is another amazing tour stop. The n see the ancient city walls of the old city. Another must see are Las Bovedas, and The Dungeons, which have been converted into an artisan’s center. In old Cartagena you can visit the Plaza Bolivar, surrounded by the Cathedral and Palace of Inquisition and the church of San Pedro Claver, which still contains the remains of the Patron Saint of Slaves, who devoted himself to improving life for the poor and tortured captives of the city. And when you have finished touring, you will have plenty of time to visit the shopping mall, Pierino Gallo, famous for great bargains in jewelry, especially emeralds and other precious and semi-precious stones.
Aruba is a place that everytime I go there I see from a different perspective. Aruba is very desert like, where cacti abound. Did you know that Aruba does not have hurricanes. One trip I escorted a group on a bus. Our group went together and bartered with a native Aruban driver. We had the same tour that you can buy on the ship for $69.00. We each paid under $20.00. We visited ruins, rock formations, amazing views, lava beaches, and an old lighthouse. In town it is very different with every mode of dining and shopping that you can imagine. And of course Aruba is known for it's casinos if you care to try your luck. |
