If you have problems with reality, as I used to, this is the place to begin. I gave up struggling with reality years ago, after winning many battles. You see, despite my victories, reality always won in the end, because that's what happens when you fight it. Ultimately, I decided to create my own versions of reality, using collage, videos, fiction, and music. This turned out to be much more fun than meditating, being here now, or contributing money to worthy causes. I believe that reality cannot be grasped. It can only be tasted, one little bite at a time. My aim is to be there then, because to be here now gets pretty boring. This site is designed to go public with a few of my playful diversions. Some are free. Some you have to buy on Amazon.com. (After all, I do have to make a living, despite my desire to live off the generosity of others.) I'll begin by offering two of my collages, yours to view, free of charge. Actually, you may recognize the original artwork as that of Salvador Dali, but I think I've improved on it. My friend Bela Rado (featured in both pictures) has assured me that he has a friendly relationship with the Dali trustees, and they are okay about such expanded uses of his prolific output, of which I'm an admirer. --Jim |
