In July of 2009, I started a writing challenge with some other writers that I know called Flash Fiction Fridays.  The idea, of course, being to write a flash fiction story during the week, and then posting it on Friday (either in the Google group we established for it, or on their own blogs).  In part of doing this, I found other writers doing a similar project, posting their stories on blogs and hashtagging them with #fridayflash on Twitter.  Serendipity is a wonderful thing sometimes.
