The Fast Start courses are then followed up with Position Specific Training (this varies greatly by position), "This Is Scouting", and Youth Protection to complete basic training. Online training
Online training can be found at www.olc.scouting.org. However, you will be prompted to create and sign into your "myscouting" account. This is how your training is applied to your BSA membership and you get credit applied. If you do not know your membership number you can still create the account, however credit for the courses will be applied manually and you will need to submit the certificate you get online to council, or it may be easier to retake the course once your membership is linked.
Troop Committee Training Troop committee chairmen and Scoutmasters, if you don't already know,Troop Committee Challenge is available online at www.olc.scouting.org (also linked on the main "Training" page of www.boyscouting.com) ! However, if your commitee would like a more interactive and trainer-led session with your entire commitee in one room...we can do that! Please contact Henry Landry at 813-929-0163, hlandry@ieee.org and we can arrange a session. The training course is about 3 hours long. |
