17 - Jan - 2009 - Apology NOT Accepted
I am in the dog house with the cat. I shut his toes in a big heavy drawer and didn't notice until he was hissing and growling as he hung down from the desk by his trapped toes. Once I had freed him, he slunk away upstairs and hid under the bed. Since I am not an expert in cat injuries, I rang the best expert I could get hold of - the husband of a vet. His advice was to feel both legs and see if one felt different. Once Soren had come out from his hiding place, and made himself comfy on Lorelei's magic blanket, I checked all his toes and wiggled his legs about a bit. He didn't complain, and actually purred through the whole procedure. But even this evening he is still limping a bit and is not really my friend today. Needless to say I feel terrible and the cats may be getting a tin of tuna for dinner. (And don't tell him, but Soren may be getting a trip to the vet if he hasn't stopped limping soon.)
First Tooth
Well, the time has finally arrived, after much anticipation, that Paige has lost her first tooth! The bottom center tooth has been wiggling around in there for what seems like weeks, maybe even months. Then the other day, Paige was showing how far it could wiggle, and we told her that it had to be getting close now. She walked away, gave it a little tug and ... pop! With a gasp of excitement, Paige came running around to show us the now extracted tooth.
