I'd been borrowing J.'s all the time. His are actually scrubs on permanent loan from a hospital in Denver. They are not my size. If I walk across the room in them, they have a tendency to fall down around my ankles, which is hard on my dignity, as well as a nuisance. Plus, he always wants to wear them himself. In other news, Sarah's coming for Christmas! Sarah is the darling Ohio-born, French-speaking angel in polka-dot vintage dress you want cooking your Christmas goose if this arrangement is at all possible. And if she cooks it at one of your favorite poet's Parisien apartment, tant mieux. And if she brings her husband Deon (whose "Everybody Loves a Jewish Boy" T-shirt you've slept in without asking, another instance of pajama stealing, yes, but which does not necessarily equal a habit), then you are well on your way to bien-etre, indeed. Or in the thick of it, comme moi.

3rd November - I love my pyjamas

I didn't really intend on buying these pyjamas at all, but there was an offer on the lovely NZ maternity undies I was buying - buy two sets and get the pjs free. And I'm utterly in love - they enhance the bump beautifully, feel gorgeous on, and will be seriously useful when breastfeeding a newborn overnight. I could quite happily pad around in them all day, but I'm not convinced they're completely decent for outdoor wear. Anyway, this is me and my bump at nearly 24 weeks - this pregnancy is zooming by. This nice relaxed start to the day turned into a rather lovely relaxed day all in all. Megan and I spent the morning at Te Papa, made pizza bagels for lunch & fairy cakes this afternoon. It was one of those days where I just felt lucky to be able to hang out with my lovely little buddy.
