Michigan Wolves Novi Jaguar Green Michigan Elite Black Alliance FC Vardar Ann Arbor Black Vardar Rush Northville Nike Force Navy Canton Celtic Black Waza FC RoyalLowell,
MI- Nearly a month ago, the Alliance FC u13 Boys suffered a
heartbreaking, overtime loss to Vardar in the State Cup Quarterfinals.
That emotional defeat was completely forgotten tonight as the boys made
an incredible leap from ninth to fourth in the P1 standings by downing
one of the state's top teams, Michigan Elite . The boys were outshot
in the first half 4-1 but, the second half was a much different story
as the two teams battled evenly for 34 minutes. With a minute left and
a tie seeming inevitable, Justin DeWildt stepped up to take a free kick
from 25 yards. Instead of looking for a shot, Justin sent a ball in for his
teammates on the far post. Caleb King got on the end of the ball but,
his shot caught the crossbar. Fortunately for Alliance Hunter Rowe was in the right position to
head it home. Hunter, who travels 2 1/2 hours each way to practices
and games saw the goal as making his extra commitment well worth it.
"I was feeling pretty bad because I just missed Justin's cross. The next thing I new, Caleb's shot came off the crossbar right there in front of me. I just ran through it and headed it in! It was the most exciting goal I have scored, kids, parents, and everyone went crazy!"

Lowell,
MI- Coach Zsolt Bertalan's boys pulled out an impressive home win against Michigan Burn, one of the state's top rated teams. The Burn were fresh off an Ohio FC Nike Challenge Cup tournament run and on goal differential came into the match only needing a tie to upset the #4 MSYSA seeded Alliance team for a state quarterfinal berth. The Alliance u13 Boys won the match 3-0 and head into Saturday's Quarterfinal match against Vardar with a final four berth on the line.
Two Alliance FC Girls Teams Win Midwest Spring Invite
Lowell, MI- Our u13 and u14 Girls took home trophies at the Midwest Spring Invite as a result of superb defensive efforts. The u14s conceded a single goal in four matches while the u13s gave up two. The u13s task was made even more difficult as they played without goalkeeper Alexis D. and back up Clare S.. Fortunately for the team, Rachel S. was up to the task as she made a number of important saves on the weekend.
