The glass part of the rear gate on my 2000 Chevy Blazer would not open when I pressed the release button. The blue plastic part between the servo and the latch mechanism had broken in two. The lower part of the gate will not open until the upper part opens, and I didn't want to break the glass. I searched the web looking for a way to open the gate. The site I saw first said to get in through the little hole under the top edge of the carpet which is on the inside below the release button. The problem is, that when you look in that hole, there is nothing to maneuver as the end of latch part that you need to move falls and pivots away from the opening. I ended up breaking away part of the plastic to gain access to the back side of the area shown in the picture. I still couldn't figure out how to get at the mechanism. Mind you, I'm still trying to get at it from the inside. Back to the web. I finally found someone who said to use an allen wrench to open it from the inside, but without a picture his comment did not make sense. Above, you will find the picture you need for that brilliant trick. :-) Slide the hook end of the wrench down along the glass. Turn the hook 90 degrees until it is in the position above and push down. Pop! The glass will open. The blue plastic part is sold only as part of an assembly which includes the servo. Chevy parts wanted $85 + tax for that assembly. I didn't go that way. I had also found on the web that you could drill a hole in the end of the broken blue piece that connects to the servo and run a small tie-wrap through the hole and the hole in the metal release lever that opens the latch. Ahh, It's fixed for less than 10 cents. Well, it's fixed except for the plastic I didn't need to break away but did.

the top/bottom panels are on the left; the sides are on the right, and the back is on the right at the back. each cube comes with an Allen wrench, plus all the bolts and dowels and the hex screws to connect the cubes. bolts go in the edge holes, while the hex screws go in the four bigger holes in the middle.
