Aside from the compound miter saw, this was all it took to assemble the box. The battery-powered drills became the critical limitation to the project. There were so many 1/4" holes to be drilled for the carriage bolts that the batteries kept running down. Even with two drills I kept finding myself with leftover hours to continue building and no battery power to continue with. This was the primary factor contributing to the length of the project. Next time I will get a corded drill. I used the socket as a screwdriver instead of the drills to cut down on battery power. Using the 14" socket with a screwdriver tip to drive the deck screws was better than using a basic screwdriver. I used the pliers to tighten the nuts for carriage bolts. I could have used an adjustable wrench or an open-end wrench just as easily. I used the hammer to bang the carriage bolts through their holes, and back out again after all my mistakes. I used no nails for this project: only bolts and screws. At the left you can see the extended 1/4" drill bit in it's yellow plastic sleeve. I needed a long enough bit to drill through the wide side of the 2x4s.
