What we are Learning

Birthdays:

Birthdays are a very exciting time and should be celebrated!  If a treat is brought in to celebrate your child's birthday it must be healthy and store bought.  It cannot be self prepared.  Some ideas include fruit, vegetables, granola bars, crackers, popcorn, pencils, or stickers.  If your child has a summer birthday we can celebrate their birthday on their half birthday.

Allergies:

Also, please let me know if your child has any allergies, even if the office already has this information.

Backpacks:

Please make sure that your child has a backpack to carry things to and from school. PLEASE BE SURE THAT YOUR CHILD'S NAME IS ON THE BACKPACK.  It should be big enough to hold your child's  binder, snack, water bottle, and a jacket.  We encourage students to bring a healthy snack &  water bottle daily.

Binders:

Your child will also need a three-ring binder.  This is our communication link between the classroom and home.  Each day your child will bring home the binder.  Please sure your child and you check it every night and bring the binder back to school every day.  I will place important papers in the pocket marked "To Home"  and  when you have any papers that need to be send to school, such as completed homework, forms, permission slips, or notes to the teacher, please place them in the pocket labeled "To School."  Each day the notes/information will be removed and reviewed.

Transportation:

Please notify me in writing of any changes in your child’s transportation arrangements. This is for the safety of your child. Thank you.

Toys:

Please have your child leave any toys at home. Toys can be distracting, lost, broken, or stolen, so please be sure your child keeps them at home.
