Mint Naan-Indian flat breads-in a jiffy

A non-conventional but easy way to make Naans at home.

Ingredients: Makes 8 Naans
  • 1can of Pillsbury Grands Flaky or classic biscuit.
  • Dried Mint leaf flakes.
  • All purpose flour.
  • Clarified butter (desi ghee) or butter.
Method:

  1. Separate each biscuit.
  2. Lightly dust the surface on which you will roll the naan with all purpose flour.
  3. Using a rolling pin, roll out each biscuit.Put the flattened biscuit on a heated pan, sprinkle mint flakes. Cook till this side becomes slightly golden brown.
  4. Turn over the biscuit and cook the other side, adding mint flakes on this side too.
  5. To add the smoky smell, heat the naan (using a pair of tongs) directly on the flame for a very very short time, just so that you get the smell.
  6. Smear a little butter or ghee on Naan and serve hot with a curry of your choice.
Tip: Instead of mint you may use any other dried herb of your choice.
