Indian Chai


Ingredients:
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ cup milk
  • Crushed 2-3 green cardamoms
  • About an inch thick and long ginger piece (peeled and grated)
  • Sugar
  • 2 tsps Tea leaves

Method:

  1. Bring water and milk to a boil.
  2. Add crushed cardamoms and grated ginger. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add tea leaves; simmer for another 1-2 minutes on a low flame.
  4. Turn off the flame, cover the chai and let stand for a minute for the aromas and flavors to seep.
  5. Strain, add sugar and mix and the Indian tea is ready.
