The RO Theater is going on ice with theatre group Vis a Vis. Homeless on Ice is a visual comedy on location in Las Palmas at the Kop van Zuid in Rotterdam, directed by Pieter Kramer. The seasoned actors of the RO Theater and the inimitable visual creators of theatre group Vis a Vis are making a production about good intentions and disastrous consequences. Now that the Pauluskerk no longer exists, a charitable organisation has come up with the idea of taking care of the Rotterdam homeless and letting them shine in a spectacular ice show. But the ice rink is broken up by enormous concrete pillars, the space is first too cold and then far too hot, and things aren’t going to plan with the homeless stars either. When they do show up, they turn to the bottle rather more often than hoped… Completely in the tradition of Vis a Vis, this will be a visual spectacle with lavish theatrical effects and moving drama. The production is a parody on TV programmes like Dancing with the Stars and Dancing on Ice, while also making fun of the sometimes all too official charitable projects.

Went to check out the Old Mill, in North Little Rock, to see how the fall color was coming along. The dogwoods provided the reds, and the yellows weren't all there yet.
