About us

Denys and I meet on Match.com March 2005. We had our first date April 1, 2005 we went to Macaroni Grill in Burlington and then to see the movie Guess Who? We Moved into our own place Memorial day weekend 2006.
 
      In September of 2007 Denys surprised me one day by taking me ring shopping. We had been talking about getting married fo a while. We went to one store to get and idea of what I liked. The following weekend we did the serious shopping and went to the Jewelry exchange in Sudbury,MA. I was soooo excited we spent some time there looking at rings and I pick out a beautiful setting. Denys bought the ring that day, I couldn't believe it was really happening. The ring was ready for pick up a few days later. He went and picked it up and it sat in our safe a home for a month.
 
      The actual proposal happened on October 29th, 2007. I had the day off and Denys was working from home that day. I was bugging him about when I was going to get my ring. Next thing I know he came from behind me and put the box in front of me and I started to cry. Then asked "will you marry me?"
 
     We are in the beginning stages of planning. We are looking at November 2008 and will be getting married in New York where I grew up in my childhood church. The colors we are going with will be ivory, chocolate browns, burnt orange and deep reds with a traditional but a little vintage style wedding. I can't wait to marry my best friend.  Again, I have been collecting pictures for a while, so if I have one of your photos please let me know and I will give you credit.

Rings

Not a great picture, also it comes with a matching band with 10 diamonds. Don't mind my crazy pj's in the background.  We took the picture when I was on the phone with my parents to tell them we were engaged.  They didn't want to wait to see my ring

I have a bridal set and my band has 10 diamonds like on the sides of my e-ring.  I can't wait to wear it.

 

This is similar to what FI wants but in 14k white gold, shiny and no design in the middle.

 

My Dress

I have my dress and I am a Maggie bride "eleganza"  I don't want to post a picture just in case FI come across this padge.

 

Hair

I will have my hair mostly down with lots of curls.  Here is what I like so far

I would like the front to look like this without the bangs 

I definitly want a Catherdral or Regal length veil depends on how long of a train my dress has, I like these two from veilshop.com.  I am not the big on wearing a tiara so I am on the lookout for either a vintage pin or hair comb.

Flower Ideas

I am all over with different styles of bouqets I like, but I am looking for dark hues of orange, reds very fall colors, since my dress will be ivory and most likely my bridesmaids will be in a latte color dress I really want the flowers to pop.  Going along with the vintage feel for the wedding, we will most likely use the beautiful green vases my mother has collected and also different height and style clear glass candle holders. 

On the tables we are doing 3 of  the vases above and also 3 vintage style candles around them.  We have been collecting the vases for along time and are almost done with all th candle sticks.

Cake

Our Cake comes with our reception package, here are ones that I like.  I want a round cake with 4 tiers like one on left but with decorations on the right.  I can't wait.

We DIY our save the dates, in one night me my mom and MOH got them cut out and put together.  They went in the mail president's weekend. I can't wait, my mom was going to mail them in January but I wanted to be there so she waited.

We are ordering our invites from Papyrus and will look very similar to this.  Ours will have 2 layers cooper and Ivory with a leaf on the top and brown writing.  We are ordering them at the end of june.

Reception Details:

Polaroid Guest Book like this, this one is expensive.   My mom found one she thinks will work, I will see it this weekend.

MOH/BM

LLbean boat totes with their initails or name:  This is the medium bag with long handles I hope to get the handles in a dark brown.

 

I also got them form Ross Simmons outlet these 14k gold ball studd earings.  I have a pair like this that I love and think they are very classic and timeless.

I also got them slippers and a cute robe to wear on the morning of the wedding.  My mom will be giving the girls a matching shawl and I will most likely pay for their hair and makeup the day of the wedding.
