The Lite Edition is light weight version of A-LINK PAD Android OS. With Google account you can automatically sync your PAD with most services Google offers these days. Practically this means that your PAD will sync your E-mails, calendars, contacts and loaded YouTube videos and let you use Google Talk to chat with your friends.

 With Google Maps you can use Latitude to let you friends know your location and view your friends location. Also you can view Buzz messages all over the world and write your own Buzz messages to the Maps.

 With gReader application you can sync Google Reader subscriptions with PAD. You will get all subscribed news automatically and you can view news shortly or go directly to the web page source to read full story.

 GDocs let you use all your documents, spreadsheets and presentations saved to Google Docs. With Picasa application you can easily access to your and your friends Picasa web albums as well. All data will be saved on Google servers and if your PAD is needed to be re-installed, updated or reset to factory defaults, you can get it up and running easily without any data loss. 

Here are some examples of disk space Google will offer free for all accounts. If you need more disk space, there is always possibility to buy more space from Google.

- Gmail: Provides 7+ GB free storage

- Gdocs: Gives you 1GB for everything: all of your docs, spreadsheets, presentations and uploaded files

- Picasa: Let you store photos up to 1GB free storage (Enough for 4000 wallpaper-size photos)

All other extra applications on general release of PAD has been removed from this version. It have also some other improvements to PAD usability and performance. You need only download the update file and copy it to your empty SD card to updated your PAD to Lite Edition. Detailed update instructions can be found here.
