Problems and Solutions
Problems and Solutions
1. Problem (affects VidMasta 18.0 and above on Windows, Mac, and Linux):
Solution: Install and set VLC Media Player as default media player
Understanding: All media players do not fully support video streaming. VLC Media Player fully supports video streaming.
2. Problem (affects VidMasta 23.3 and below on Windows Vista and above):
Solution: Run the installer as administrator once or run the main application as administrator each time you run it:
Understanding: Administrator permissions are needed for VidMasta to start some processes like PeerBlock, but normal permissions were used.
3. Problem (affects VidMasta 19.9 and below on Windows): javaw.exe must be manually located to run VidMasta
Solution: Install with Linux/Windows/Mac/Multi-Platform installer instead of Windows installer
Understanding: The multi-platform installer creates a shortcut that points directly to VidMasta. The Windows installer creates a shortcut that points to javaw.exe which calls VidMasta. Java was/is improperly configured on your system so pointing to javaw.exe is problematic. The drawback of using the multi-platform installer on Windows is that the shortcut cannot be pinned to the taskbar.
