Alex, a musician located in Asheville, North Carolina, plays traditional Sligo style Irish music on the fiddle, concertina, and harp. She has won medals at the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Ireland and the Mid-AtlanticFleadh Cheoil in New York among other competitions. She studied with many internationally renowned musicians including Gráinne Hambly, Brian Conway, and Rose Flanagan.
Alex can be heard at Asheville's local Irish pub, Jack of the Wood , on Sunday evenings.
