I specialize in working with individuals, couples, families, adolescents and young adults from a strength-based, goal oriented approach that recognizes the importance physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellness play in maintaining balance in one’s life and relationships.
My twenty-five year career in the helping profession is varied and diverse. I am experienced in treating children, adolescents and adults with emotional, behavior and addictive problems and in both individual and group therapy settings. I have many years of experience in private practice and in residential mental health and addiction recovery programs located in both California and Pennsylvania.
I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine in 1984 and my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in 1986. I have been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California since 1990 and in Pennsylvania since 2003.
I am a twenty year resident of the South Hills of Pittsburgh with my wife of twenty-six years. We have three children ages twenty-two, nineteen and fifteen.
