Alex Carter sings jazz standards with pianist Christian Vaughan and  

guitar and bass player Dave Chamberlain.


Christian Vaughan studied Jazz at the Royal Academy of Music,

and has played alongside a wide variety of artists, including Tony 

Rémy, Jean Toussaint, Ray Gelato, Bobby Wellins, Dave Cliff, Larry 

Adler, Stacey Kent,  Vanessa Rubin, Jean Carne and Karrin Allyson. His  

discography includes keyboard work on Jean Toussaint's "Life I Want",  

accordion on Tony  Rémy's "Metamorfollow-G" and string arranging 

on the soundtrack to Mike Leigh's film, "Career Girls".


In 2001 and 2002 Christian played keyboards for the Jazz Crusaders'

European tours, and 2002 also saw his debut as Musical Director for 

BBC Television's late night chat show, Johnny Vaughan Tonight.


Christian has taught jazz piano and coached multi-instrumental 

groups and vocalists at Westminster School, Eton College, the Royal 

College of Music (Junior Dept.),  the Royal Academy of Music, the 

Purcell School, Charterhouse School, Dulwich College, Highgate 

School, Morley College and the Hochschüle für Musik, Hannover.

Dave Chamberlain studied in London and Paris with Dominic Black 

(Philharmonia Orchestra), Simon Woolf and Pierre Boussaguet, the

latter an alumnus of Ray Brown.  From 2002 to 2008 he was the full-time bass

player with Blue Note recording artist Stacey Kent. Current projects include 

the Tony Kofi Trio, the Graham Harvey Trio, the Back To Basie Orchestra 

and Kai's Cats.

Gordon, John Colliani, The Filthy Six, Kai Hoffman, Dave O’Higgins, 

The Graham Harvey Trio and Mark Crooks.

He teaches guitar, double bass and electric bass and coaches jazz, rock 

and classical ensembles at CSMC, TMA and Sutton and Banstead Music

Centre.  
He is involved with the JazzFM Jazzworks project, giving 

introductory jazz workshops in schools.
