An Indian/Welsh mix born in the UK, I grew up in North America 

and came back to school in Wales, (what a shock!) then read 

French and Italian at Clare College, Cambridge University. 

In Toulouse, I busked opera arias and enjoyed free tickets  to the 

opera from passing divas.  After studying at Trinity College of 

Music, I lived in Bremen, Germany, performing lieder with pianist 

Claudia Birkholz.

I studied with Noelle Barker at the Royal Academy of Music, and 

with Marie McLaughlin and I have worked with many of the leading 

directors and conductors in the country, and in the Chorus of the 

Royal Opera House. 

Venues have varied from those busking days in Rue St Rome,

Toulouse, to theatres and concert halls, to a converted 

slaughterhouse, art galleries, and castles in Germany, the 17thC

Mauritshuis in Holland, and the Handel House Museum in London,

and Sandringham House.

I have sung at weddings and events all over the UK, but the

strangest place I have sung to date is on top of a haystack, to a 

field of cows... No, really! 

Alexandra has sung the roles of Susanna (Figaro) for

Opera Southeast, Valencienne (Merry Widow) for First Act

Opera, Adele, (Fledermaus) for First Act Opera, Adina,

(L'elisir d'amore,) Susanna, and Barbarina, (Figaro,) for

Pavilion Opera, Ninetta (La Finta Semplice) for Opera

Piccola, Bremen, Trio (Trouble in Tahiti) and Dalila

(Handel's Samson) for Guildford Opera, Zerlina (Don

Giovanni) for London Opera Players,St John Passion with

Bournemouth Bach Choir, and Pergolesi Stabat Mater,

Vivaldi Gloria and Haydn Missa Brevis for Chepstow Choral

Society, Haydn Nelson Mass for Aldworth Philharmonic

Orchestra. Alexandra has also covered the roles of Nadine,

(Der Stein der Weisen,) and Aminta (Strauss: Die

Schweigsame Frau) and Tamiri in Il Re Pastore for

Garsington Opera.
