Ougui® is a combination of an oud and a guitar. The bowl (made of maple) is the one of an oud and the fretboard (made of ebony) is the one of a guitar. It has the six strings of a classical guitar and it is tuned like one. Ougui's soundboard is made of german spruce. The present Ougui was built upon order by musician Elias Giorgalis.
