Join Us At Our Next Meeting!
Monday, March 19th (7:00pm-9:00pm)
Durant Center, 1605 Cameron Street, Alexandria VA
We have lots to discuss, especially local politics and plans for 2012.
All are welcome to attend.

Saturday March 11, Community Bike Ride: Potomac area

Our next informal Alexandria BPAC bike ride will venture outside
Alexandria to nearby Arlington by seeing just where all you
can go by following the new Potomac Avenue.  We will check out
how to get to the Potomac Yards Shopping center from the back
and wander through the maize of streets in Crystal City
(checking out Capitol Bikeshare stations and Revolution Cycles
City Hub).  We will just keep going north through Arlington’s
new Long Bridge Park, the back way to the Pentagon, and linking
up with the Mt Vernon trail via a new bike/ped underpass of the
GW Parkway and make out way back to DelRay.

This will be a low speed ride for riders of all abilities with
NO hills and we will be sticking to low traffic roads or roads
with bike lanes or bike paths.

When:  Saturday March 10, 10 am - 1 pm
Where: St. Elmo's Coffee Pub 2300 Mt. Vernon Ave.
Bring: Yourself, a bicycle, water, a sense of adventure
Cost:  None, but limited to 30 riders

RSVP to Bruce Dwyer, ouibike@gmail.com

This ride will go ahead unless steady or heavy rain is expected.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Thank you to Steve Sindiong
a transportation planner with T&ES
for the February meeting slide show and discussion on Beauregard Corridor plans. He is a new arrival from Seattle, carfree and a  bike rider. The complexity of the corridor plans are alot clearer now.
