Alcoholic In Recovery

Religion

I recall a world religion class I took in college in which the professor said that about all he had found to be true of all religions is a belief in a moral universe in which good acts bring good results and bad ones bad ones.  It seems to me that AA fits that bill but we don't have to believe in pie in the sky when we die.  The reward for living a good and sober life is a good and sober life.  Doing the next right thing as I go through each day means I don't need to hide my past or fear the future,  with right living giving me health,  happiness,  comfortable sobriety and contentment.  A bit of pie after death would be welcome,  but that isn't what it's about.
