Scientific interests:
- Marine ecology, in particular modelling the population dynamics of exploited fish resources.
- Biology of fish, in particular horse mackerel (Trachurus trachurus), with regard to the biological parameters that are important for fisheries assessment and management (distribution, feeding, growth and reproduction).
- Identification of stock units for fisheries assessment purposes, based on a holistic approach.
- Development of frameworks for fisheries advice and management based on fuzzy set theory.
- Modelling the behaviour of fishing fleets in a multi-agent framework using cognitive maps and fuzzy logic.
- Description and modeling of food-webs.
