Applied Industrial Organization

Course description

This course introduces students to empirical methods in Industrial Organization. The course is mainly computer-based and will be held in a computer lab. The first part of the course hinges on the software Comlabgames and covers different topics in game theory related to industrial organization. The second part of the course focuses on various applications of industrial organization using the econometric  package STATA. Occasionally some applied papers may be reviewed during the course.

By the end of the course students are expected to be able to design and run their own games/experiments on the computer, as well as to analyze actual datasets and produce econometric inference.
