Capital Region ESOL Resources
Site established through the ESOL Coordinating Committee of the Capital Region Refugee Roundtable
PURPOSE
This website is intended as a central location to share schedules and resources for English classes offered for adult English Language Learners. These classes are sometimes referred to as ESL – English as a Second Language. However, for many adults students, English is their third or fourth language. Therefore, we use the term “ESOL,” or, English for Speakers of Other Languages.

The calendar below provides information on a number of ESOL classes offered in the NY Capital Region, primarily those provided by the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), Capital Region BOCES, Literacy New York Greater Capital Region (LNY), and Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County (LVORC). Please note that the list below is by no means exhaustive. For information regarding additional classes and resources please contact a service provider listed on the "Contact Info" page.
