A Prayer of Comfort

Death is nothing at all.

I have only slipped away into the next room.

I am me, and you are you.

Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.

And so I ask you to wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Play and smile and think of me.

Pray for me.

Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.

Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.

I am just around the corner and all is well.

AMEN
