About me

I recently graduated from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani - Goa Campus, where I completed my Integrated Masters of Science (Technology) in Information Systems. During my final undergraduate semester (2009 Jan to Jul), I interned as a research assistant at elab, research department, INSEAD Business School - Singapore Campus.

Overview and Background:

I completed my schooling under the guidelines proposed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and thereafter proceeded for graduation in MSc (Tech) Information Systems at the prestigious BITS Pilani - Goa Campus.

During my undergraduate studies, my experiences in the field of computers has rekindled my interest in research, particularly in the field of High Performance Computing (HPC) and its applications. I had the opportunity to undertake an internship at Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI) where I got to interact with some of the best minds in the country and also had my first experience in the field of research. I have also worked as a research intern at the Grid Applications and Research Laboratory (GARL), Supercomputer Engineering and Research Center (SERC) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). As part of academic curriculum, I involved myself in projects on Grid Computing, Parallel Programming and Wireless sensor networks. I also did an internship at elab, research department of INSEAD Business School as a research assistant where my work spanned multiple domains of NLP, sentiment analysis and datamining of domain specific content.

I am inclined towards research and technology development in the field of High Performance Computing.

My university experiences have also helped me to hone my leadership and managerial skills. I have been the 'Campus Ambassador' for Sun Microsystems where I lead a team of students to learn, develop and evangelize various open source software. I am also one of the founding members of our Linux Users' Group (LUG-BITSGoa) and the Centre for Software Development (CSD). I have been the chief organizer of QUARK 2008, the annual national science and technology festival of BITS Pilani Goa Campus.

To pursue my interest in the field of High Performance Computing, I seek a challenging and educative job profile.
