The term "spirituality" has nothing to do with the religion.  Infact, spirituality has no age barrier, no caste barrier, no religion barrier and this spirituality  begins when the religion ends.  Basic education of man teaches that religion is the creation of man and it has no significance and in some circumstances religion arose of the nature of the work that that sect carried out.  Religion or the caste has no meaning for me and to bring to your notice if you are a believer in religion, that every religion preaches or advocates the same- peace, harmony and spirituality.

 

so, how do we abandon the never understandable "religion" and what makes an individual spiritual.

Spirituality focuses man's attention on the divine effulgence radiating in one's own heart and this effulgence is created by the presence of the "creator" himself.  spirituality rquires of us to achieve the sense of oneness with god, focus the mind inwards and approach "him" with love.

 

Meditation is one of the tool which surfaces when it comes to achieving this spirituality.  One point that is to be considered is that achieving spirituality does not mean becoming a "sanyasi" and celebrating "chaste".

It is making the good use of senses.  I would say that meditation can only prepare the mind and make the mind ready to focus on the subject to be dealt or that is being dealt.

 

There is an adage in Kannada language "ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮರ್ಕಟ" meaning the mind is like a monkey which jumps from one tree to another.  This comparison has been made in that sweet language because we tend to think of something else whilst meditating.  I think of many things the past, the bitter that has happened and the future and sometimes may daydream and then return to the normal state of meditation.   This is a kind of cycle that repeats quite a lot of times during meditation.  This seems unavoidable when we heed all these thoughts but we dont realise that they can be ignored which is the easiest way than forcing the mind to stay meditating.  I am writing a lot on this but I have not achieved this completely as yet.  yoga is another tool to achieve that perfect state of mind where you have only one thought and you will be focusing on it.

 

Once that is achieved I would say you are next to god and you have achieved that stable state of mind.  The small procedure to achieve that state of mind or meditate:

Sit in a posture comfortable to you and the place should be calm and should not be distracting by any means.  Think of a thing, material or divine or imaginatory but keep in mind the fact that what you think is what you become or what you get.  So it is suggested to think of divine light in the heart or the word "OM" as many do.  Keep thinking of that and try to avoid heeding to intruding thoughts and neglect such thoughts and do not force  your mind.  You can do meditation for any length of time irrespective of time of the day but should not be done when you are sleepy or tired which unless would put you to sleep.  Try to forget the world and think of only one thing and I would suggest to think of god or divine light in your heart.  Meanwhile you will also get and feel a kind of energy circulating in your blood streams.  You might have noticed that sometimes the very presence of a person makes you get irritated which is the negative energy that will prompt you get irritated whether or not that person has done any harm to  you in the past.

Meditation will help you get the positive energy and thus the spirituality is also achieved.

 

The more higher level is clairvoyance, which happens to be something looking at the future, something beyond human understanding or human reach, something paranormal.  This is where you let the subconscious do the work which has enough potential to influence things around us.  I would like the quote the success story of 'ebay' and 'apple computers'.  There was enough work done by the subconscious and they converted their thoughts into action and the result took aback the greatest of minds.  In the short time the achievement was so profound that it went on to become one of the most popular companies that have ever existed.
