2012-2013 Season

2012-2013  Curling  Season

Red = Bring Snacks

In order for the second half to be a success, games must be played faster and the below etiquette must be observed.

·         It is important that a player be at the club and ready to play before the scheduled game time. If a player fails to show up for a game, he or she inconveniences seven (7) other players. If you cannot make a game, it is YOUR responsibility to provide a substitute, notify league officials (see below) or notify the skip.  We do not want any canceled games in the second half, subs can be found.

·         Be prepared to deliver your stone as soon as your opponent has completed their delivery.

·         It is the responsibility of the skip and vice to call the game, please limit team conferences to only essential shots.

·         After delivering your stone, move to the side of the sheet, between the "hog" lines, unless you are the skip or acting skip. Leads and seconds are not permitted in the "house" or "rings", except when sweeping or to remove the stones AFTER the count has been determined by the vice skips.

·         Do not let stones run into or over the hacks at high speed. Equipment may be damaged or players injured by rebounding stones

·         Please mark your results on the master sheet on the bulletin board.

Thanks!

NOTES

  • It is important to arrive on time for your scheduled games.  If a player fails to show up for a game, or is late, he or she inconveniences seven other players.  If you cannot make a game, or will be late, it is your responsibility to provide a substitute (and notify the skip).
  • Be prepared to clean and deliver your stone as soon as your opponent has completed his delivery.  This will keep games one time.
  • After delivering a stone, move to the side of the sheet (between the hog lines) unless your are the skip or acting skip.  Leads and seconds are not permitted in the rings unless it's sweeping a stone or removing stones after the score has been confirmed by the thirds.  Please keep the game running smoothly and timely with minimal delays.
  • Do not let the stone run into the hacks or the backboards.  This is to avoid injuries or damage to equipment.
  • Shake hands with your teammates and opposing team as a gesture of good will and sportsmanship.
  • Please be willing to help set up and taken down equipment (first draw and last draw).  This will help make the first draw run on-time as well as vacate the ice on-time in the last draw.
