Adult Joint Reconstruction Chapter is the fourth chapter (after paediatric orthopaedic chapter, sports medicine chapter and spine chapter) established under the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association.

 Dr. David Fang kindly donated a trophy for the best oral paper on adult joint reconstruction that was presented by a fellow or member of HKOA at its annual congress in 2000. The trophy was not awarded in 2002 and from 2006-2010 due to logistical problems in arranging the free papers.
In 2011, the winner was Dr. CH Yan (QMH). The title of his paper was "Cementation technique and mechanical alignment, which is more important to the survivorship of low contact stress mobile-bearing total knee arthroplasty? - A study of minimum 7 years follow-up".
