Dear all, Wanted to share with you what I discovered after stopping into my local Barnes & Noble. On the release day of ACT OF WILL, I went to B&N (on Pearl Street in Boulder, CO) to pick up a copy of the book. When I didn't see it on the shelf, I asked a customer service rep if it had been placed somewhere else. After clicking away on his computer, the B&N employee told me they hadn't received any copies...and they weren't planning on ordering any to shelve! After sniffing out the issue, I found out that only a few Barnes & Noble stores will be ordering and shelving ACT OF WILL. Big problem. If you haven't picked up the book yet, stop into a Barnes & Noble to purchase it if you can. If they're one of the stores not shelving, ask them to order it for you (free shipping, by the way). Alternatively, you can order ACT OF WILL through B&N online by following this link. Let's help A.J. boost those sales numbers! Cheers, SB |

Updated two sections of the site in conjunction with the release of WILL (tomorrow!). I chatted with A.J. about writing his first fantasy novel (which he actually began twenty plus years ago). Find the transcript here. Also new on the site is an excerpt--the first of five--from ACT OF WILL. I'll be adding a chapter a day from now till Friday. Find the first (and the rest) of these here. AJ's newest novel, the fantasy ACT OF WILL, hits shelves next Tuesday, March 3. Pre-order through Amazon to save a car trip to the bookstore (and, of course, to skip over the mad dash that will overwhelm all bookstores on March 3). :) Check out the Dialogues section next week for the transcript of an interview I'll be doing with AJ. We'll be talking about the process of writing WILL, moving as an author between mystery/thriller and fantasy, and how AJ's day job (as a Shakespeare professor) has informed his new book.
